Recommended is the picturesque Angle-sur-Anglin. In the town of Chauvigny about 20 km away you will find several supermarkets, cafes and restaurants and a market on Saturday mornings. Nearby are the cities of Poitiers, Tours, Limoges, Cognac, La Rochelle, the Futuroscope theme park and the war memorial Oradour sur Glane, known from World War II.
