There is a lovely apartment available for you/you in the old school. All comfort is there, without frills. Nature is the biggest attraction here in the Morvan. Directly from the school you walk or mountain bike straight into the forest. Or you unfold a garden chair, visit a town or drive to a museum. As a guest of our village, you can use the swimming pool of Villapourcon (5 km away) for free. Upstairs in the robust school building we have our own place. We welcome you with a drink and show you around, then you have all the peace and privacy you need. On the ground floor there will be two apartments. One of them - right front door in the picture - is ready for two people to stay in. It is very quiet in and around the school and unprecedentedly dark at night (bring stargazers?). So it's also an excellent place to seclude yourself for a week and finish your project plan, thesis or book undisturbed. We look forward to seeing you there!

Regional park the Morvan is a green oasis. Our village of Le Puits is a hamlet with about 20 houses. As immediate neighbors we have two horses and pasture with cows. Houses are a few hundred meters away. The south of the Morvan is greener and higher than the north. During a walking, cycling or car trip you will be enchanted time and again by the overwhelmingly beautiful vistas and views. In spring and summer, nature is a beautiful patchwork quilt of different shades of green with hedges and overhanging wildflowers. In autumn, your path leads past brilliant autumn colors and across a carpet of fruits and nuts. Stores and cafes can be found fifteen minutes away. Highly recommended is Bibracte, the Celtic settlement that is now a museum and research institute (7 km from us). Nice villages are Luzy, Larochemillay, Moulin-Engilbert, Chateau-Chinon, Glux-en-Glenne. Larger cities nearby are Autun, Nevers and Dijon.
