Next to it is a lawn in the sometimes welcome shade under the beautiful old oak tree and views over the Serra. Behind the house an open garage. Because the house is built on the rocks there are steps connecting outside with inside. Access via a dirt road, well trodden.

Unobstructed views from east to west over the valley and mountains. Beautiful river beaches nearby (Avo) or wild self-discovered spots on rivers. In spring gorse, mimosa and other beauty. Coimbra 50 min. do not forget the beautiful cities in Spain ( Salamanca, Ciudad Rodrigo)! Within an hour on the Torre of the Serra with beautiful views. This natural park is a walhalla for nature lovers and hikers. There also beautiful villages such as Piodao. Nearby are weekly cozy markets (Covas, Tabua) with long dining tables, roasts and local initiatives such as a Pirates Kitchen. Around the house an area of 1.7 hectares with fruit trees such as quince, apple, fig (super delicious!), olive, orange, tangerine, lemon, and grape vines. Three water mines provide the water we use. The intention here is to apply some permaculture principles to work the land.
