This cozy forest cottage is tucked away at the edge of a forest plot and looks out over the farmlands on the southwest. Here you automatically leave the hectic behind and literally go offline for a while. From the living room with warming wood stove you look out on the sunny and cozy garden. The house of 72m2 is suitable for 1-4 persons with 2 bedrooms, bathroom with bath/shower, separate spacious and well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven and stove. Take your time here to prepare a tasty meal with freshly picked herbs from the garden. For coffee lovers, there is a choice of brewing methods. Go for quick and easy with a Senseo or quick filter. Truly enjoy yourself with home-brewed slow coffee. Grind your own coffee beans and use the cafetière, Hario V60 or a retro DE filter. For (herbal) tea, choose a nice tea set. The cottage is located far from the public road and therefore has no internet/wifi. However, good/fast mobile coverage (4G/5G).

This forest cottage is located in the vast Drenthe countryside near Ruinen, Echten, Koekange and Zuidwolde. Between Meppel and Hoogeveen. From the cottage you step / cycle directly onto the nodes walking and cycling network. In a walk of 5 to 8 km you come along a diverse landscape. A short distance away you will find Boswachterij Ruinen with the Echten Paradise, an area with heathland, sand drifts, fens and woods. Within cycling distance there are the National Parks Dwingelderveld, Drents-Friese Wold and Weerribben-Wieden. Also the valley of the Overijsselse Reest, is within cycling distance. Organic shopping can be done at the biodynamic Naoberhoeve in Echten, or you can scavenge your meals at the many local stalls along the roads in the area. There are at least 5 along the road to the cottage alone. The lush garden is the property of birds, butterflies, squirrels and deer often pass by. The spacious work corner has room for crafting, drawing, working or studying.
