One of the oldest farms in Friesland (1631) was restored and transformed into a high quality, circular and virtually self-sufficient farmhouse with guest rooms. The last 300 meters to the farm you realize the unique location: in the middle of the farmlands, on the water, with a yard to feast on - literally and figuratively - and views to remember.

Biking, boating, hiking, canoeing, rowing can be done right from the location. Grou is 6 minutes by bike. The Pikmeer is fifteen minutes away by boat. Nature reserves with hiking trails and bird-watching huts in the vicinity are Alde Faenen, It Wikelslan, Kraanlannen, Einekoaien Lyts Geast and Ketelermar. Leeuwarden with the Fries Museum and Museum het Prinsessehof is 20 car-minutes north of the farm.
