This 1800's nature house in Nohèdes, at 990m altitude was completely restored in 2021 with contemporary furnishings overlooking the village square and with stunning views of the valley and mountains. The thick walls of the house ensure comfortable temperatures inside both in summer and winter.The location with a small terrace allows you to enjoy the quiet surroundings. We have fantastic hiking opportunities in the nature reserve of Nohedes with its 4 lakes and beautiful views of the mountains of the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean in the distance. Every year in late July and early August there is the world famous Pablo de Casals classical music festival around Prades (15km away) for which the house is a good base. The town of Prades is 15km away with many stores and (organic) supermarkets. Every Tuesday morning there is a large outdoor market in Prades where many local products are sold. The quiet village of Nohèdes is just over an hour's drive from the Mediterranean and Perpignan. The village is in the Catalan Pyrenees National Park and on the edge of the Natural Reserve of Nohèdes with its 4 lakes and plenty of hiking opportunities. Whether you come here for hiking, cultural activities or just a (short) break 'away from it all', The nature house is a good starting point. And the altitude of almost 1,000 meters assures cooler temperatures with lower humidity during the day and night.(Our neighbors grow and sell organic vegetables during much of the year).
