A beautiful off-grid naturehouse, right on the river where you can swim, canoe, walk and enjoy nature in peace. The cottage is at our land, but has plenty of privacy. We live here with our two sons aged 9 and 10, friendly dogs, cats, chickens and goats. We moved to Portugal 2 years ago because we felt the need for simplicity, peace, nature and freedom. Happy to share our place with our guests! In the cottage you will find everything you need for a relaxing stay. The sleeping area is an open loft with 4 comfortable beds. The cottage has mosquito nets, a stove to make it warm and/or cosy. There is also a baby kit and 3 child chairs. There are also board games, books, pencils and good Wifi. (Also towels incl). For children there is plenty to do such as swinging, go-karting, trampoline jumping, playing in the sandpit, canoeing and of course swimming!

The flora and fauna is very rich. Otters have been spotted and many birds, the kingfisher and the black stork were also seen. From the cottage you can make beautiful walks along authentic villages via well-marked routes. The cottage is located near Coja and Avo, cosy and lively villages with nice restaurants, a doctor, dentist and ATM. Large supermarkets are located 15 minutes away. The area is known for its beautiful river beaches, several of which are a short distance away. You can relax here under the tropical umbrellas with a cold drink. A short distance away is the Serra da Estrela natural park, with a peak of almost 2000 metres and breathtaking views. There are also beautiful waterfalls to visit nearby and, of course, local and alternative markets where you can buy special handmade products. So, plenty to experience!
