This little forest retreat is among the trees is for people who want to unwind and tune in to the sounds of birds and who enjoy a back to basic and peaceful stay in nature. This cabin is built from all natural materials taken from our immediate surroundings. There is a wood stove to keep you warm during cold weather. A place for you to rest, meditate and renew. Our accommodation is back to basics. The toilet is a dry compost toilet, it's located in the forest, about 15 meters from the log house. Hot shower is available next to the main house (50 meters). There is no kitchen with running water in the cottage, but there is a tap and a space to prepare simple meals close to the main house. There is an electric cooling box and electric cooker available in the log house. We are a Dutch-Japanese family with a sustainable lifestyle. We would like to share our beautiful place with others so that they can have a peaceful time here. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Our space is about 1 hectare of woodlands, far from the main roads, about 3 km from the village of Koningsbosch, walking distance to the Haeselaar nature reserve with its rich bird life. This is where The Netherlands is at it's most narrow, 300 m from Germany and 10 km from Belgium. Day trips can easily be made to the Meinweg National Park and to the historical cities of Maastricht and Aachen.There are many possibilities for cycling and walking in this area. The quietness of the place and an internet connection make it especially suitable for students, writers, artists to do creative work or study.
