We have christened our Nature house Sun Deck, because the balcony of our vacation apartment, built on wooden beams, looks like a ship's deck, where we love to watch the breathtaking sunsets on the horizon. Here you can relax in rural surroundings and enjoy the unobstructed view of the garden, fields, meadows and pastures. The light-flooded half-timbered apartment extends over 3 floors: entrance area with checkroom downstairs, on the 1st floor the bright kitchen with seating for 4 people. An oak staircase leads up to the cozy living room with pitched roof and gallery, flat-screen TV and music system. The two bedrooms and the bathroom are adjoining, separated by room doors. We have recently refurnished the apartment and furnished it with a lot of love. The roof has been completely re-roofed and insulated to modern standards. Cyclists are very welcome and there is a parking space in the driveway.

Village life is still intact in Uehrde and guests are very welcome. Our immediate neighbor runs the "Spargelgut" asparagus farm with a farm store, and there are farm roads around the village with signposts leading to neighboring villages. These are popular cycling and hiking trails. A trip to the "Uehrder Sportplatz" leads to a unique landscape conservation area with protected habitats, overgrown shrubs and hedges. An Eldorado for nature lovers and animal watchers, the surrounding hills are well worth exploring. The Asse is about 3 km away and can be seen from our balcony, the ELM can be reached in 15 minutes by car. The Harz Mountains with their highest mountain, the Brocken, rise up in the distance to the south of the village and should be a day trip.
