The apartment is on the lower two floors of a 17th-century village house. The house is detached and has a great view over the majestic Rhone Valley. You have access to the enclosed garden with terrace. There is a common storage room with washing machine, dryer (if the weather is nice, please hang your laundry on the line outside), games, tools, etc. You will also find garden furniture and parasols. Gigondas is a lively village with excellent wines and good restaurants and is beautifully situated on the slopes of the rocky Dentelles de Montmirail, a paradise for hikers, climbers and cyclists. Breathtaking landscapes, lots of history, culture, sunshine and delicious food. By the way, the whole house is also for rent (Grand Gîte Gigondas).

Delightful and extensive hiking area- Exquisite wines and good restaurants- Much to discover from comfortable gite on the edge of romantic village. Gigondas (Vaucluse) is a charming and engaging town. Winding streets, a clattering fountain, the village square under the plane trees. The village (600 inhabitants) lies at the foot of a vast and breathtaking mountainous area: the Dentelles de Montmirail, a paradise for hikers. The Mont Ventoux is about 25 minutes drive away. A little further away are places like Gordes or St. Rémy de Provence, the Gorges du Verdon and the Camarque. There are interesting cities to discover like Avignon, Orange, Arles and Aix-en-Provence. And restored medieval villages like Séguret and Les Baroux. In Vaison-la-Romaine and Carpentras there are weekly markets with beautiful local products. The Mediterranean Sea is an hour and a half away by car. There is also a lot to experience culturally.
