There are several cycling and walking possibilities in the area. The Frisian landscape is characterized by an alternation of waterways and meadows. Nearby is National Park De Alde Feanen situated around the village of Earnewald. Akkrum is located in the heart of Friesland and in about 20 minutes you are in Heerenveen, Sneek or Leeuwarden.
