The gîte is a dry-stone extension to our house, set in a large Mediterranean garden. The property is wooded and overlooks a small river. A large enclosed terrace under the trees overlooks the park of holm oaks to the southwest. The gîte is air-conditioned, wifi, classified** The interior is a cosy 24m² studio, for 2 people. The kitchen area has everything you need (hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, small electrical appliances), dining table for 4. The sleeping area is equipped with a 160cm bed and storage units. The studio has a sofa, TV and internet access. Bathroom with washing machine and toilet. A small dog is accepted, at extra charge. Between Nimes and Montpellier, near the pretty Provencal town of Sommières (5 km), Galargues is a small village set between vineyards and garrigues. Away from the village, our estate occupies a small wood of holm oaks; this 4,000m² Mediterranean garden is filled with aromatic plants to the sound of cicadas in summer. This quiet corner of paradise is home to our house and another small gîte. Chickens and our cats frolic in the garden. The secure swimming pool is shared, and parking is available on the enclosed property. Below the estate runs a small river (often dry in summer) which is the starting point for walks through vineyards and garrigues. Numerous discoveries await you within a short distance: the Pic Saint Loup, then the Hérault gorges, the Camargue-Aigues-Mortes sea, the great Roman sites of Nimes and the Pont du Gard. Wine estates and our cooperative wineries offer their quality wines.
