A dream come true. Near the famous Barolo wine region and among the Piedmont hills, we bought our beautiful vacation home in 2022. From April 2024 we will rent out our casa Giallo; this is how our yellow house is called in the village. We remodeled the house and the bathroom. Now our casa Giallo is an enchanting vacation spot where we enjoy the beautiful Piedmont. Within walking distance (1 km) is the village of Niella Belbo, where grocer Beppe in a residential house sells almost everything you need. In the other direction - in San Benedetto Belbo, 2 km - the 500 inhabitants are proud of the birthplace of the writer Beppe Fenoglio, famous in Italy. We do not have a swimming pool at the house, but we do have one in the beautiful village 9 km away: Bossolasco. We have built 2 wooden terraces in our garden, which always has sun. When the sun rises on the right, the terrace on the left is in the shade and vice versa. We have a garden of 1200 square meters, with a cool forest and a nice overgrown slope.

The house is surrounded by nature, between forest, meadow and the famous walnut groves. From the provincial road a narrow asphalt road (watch the holes!) leads after 150 meters to our casa Giallo.It is very quiet and peaceful around our house, only the animals and especially the crickets make noise. And the farmers tending the nut orchard down the road or driving their sheep into the adjacent pasture in the evening when it is not too hot. The nearest town is Dogliani (at 20 min), quiet Italian with 2 supermarkets. You can go to the beautiful and busy Piedmontese wine towns (Barolo and Barbaresco - 30 min), but also enjoy culture in Alba and Asti and the lesser known Mondovi. Only the road towards it is already enjoyable among the beautiful hills of Piedmont.The Mediterranean sea is a challenge for the beach lover though, 1.15 hour drive to Varigotti.In front of the door runs a beautiful long-distance hiking trail with the inspirational name: bar to bar. You can also mountain bike very well.
