A fine chalet in the Swiss Alps - 1185m. In Vallée du Trient, a beautiful valley opening into the Rhone valley, lies the alpine village of Les Marécottes. In this village for more than 40 years we have our family house that can accommodate 6 people. It is a real family house; it is cozy and homey. Household utensils are present and can be used. There are Dutch books, games, hiking maps etc. In the chalet there are 3 bedrooms; 1st floor with a double bed, two single beds and a bunk bed. The spacious bathroom has a bath, sink and toilet. Downstairs is a second toilet.It is a spacious house with spacious balcony, private garden and unobstructed views at the front. In summer you can start mountain walks behind the house. There are deck chairs, tables and umbrellas. In winter it is regularly possible to ski from the house to the ski elevator. The ski descent through the forest runs past the house. Private parking.

Les Marécottes is located in the French-speaking canton of Valais, in the Vallée du Trient. From Utrecht it is about a 935 km drive on highways to Martigny of which another 12 km goes uphill nover a mountain road. The village also has its own train connection, the station is 15min walk where the Montblanc express takes you in 20min to Martigny or in 45min to Chamonix (F), at the foot of Mont Blanc. Our house is quite on the outskirts of the village. It is an 8min walk to the supermarket, charging station and the Telecabine of the Les Marécottes/Salvan ski area. From the backyard you walk into the vast hiking area of the Dents du Midi. You can also enjoy mountain biking. There is a mountain zoo and a unique mountain swimming pool. In the vicinity are museums, restaurants and spas. In winter there is its own ski resort, known for off-piste skiing and ski randonnée. Larger ski areas such as Vallorcine, Quatre Vallees(Verbier) or Les Portes du Soleil are easily accessible.
