This old former sunday school is located in the east of the Netherlands in the beautiful Achterhoek area, in the rural wooded area of the village of Aalten. This romantic monument from 1924 is now a pleasant and spacious year round nature house. Originally, the small school had two classrooms, now a spacious living area and dining kitchen. The seating area offers comfortable furniture and the modern kitchen is fully equipped. Upstairs, in the two cozy bedrooms, there are five beds of hotel quality. In the third small room is a sixth bed. A luxurious bathroom with spacious walk-in shower completes the comfort. For small children a high chair, stair gate and cot are available. At the back is a spacious terrace, for children the forest is a lovely playground. There are two private parking spaces and a shed to store bikes. Two bikes are available for you. You can arrive at 3:00 PM and departure by 11:00 AM. Dogs may only enter the ground floor. At night they have to use the utility room or bench.

The nature house is completely detached, with beautiful views over the meadows and own forest. Explore the border with Germany, a beautiful and varied couliss landscape. Rolling landscape, arable land, pastures, vineyards, forest grounds and plains: a perfect starting point for beautiful cycling and hiking trails. Both the cycle route network and the hiking network run right next to this nature house. Close to Aalten is the historic town of Bredevoort, definitely worth a visit.
