This nature house is in a hamlet of 12 cottages, at 600 meters altitude, in the evergreen oak forest near the municipality of Cabrerolles (34480), Herault (34). It is located in nature reserve Parc Naturel Regional du Haut-Languedoc. From the roof terrace you can see the Mediterranean in the distance. In clear weather, from the little road outside the village, you can see the Pyrenees in the distance. Everything towards the Mediterranean Sea consists of lower lying vineyards, which gives a beautiful view. The cottage is suitable for couples (young and old) and is very suitable for nature and hiking lovers. The dog is welcome. Unfortunately less suitable for people with mobility problems, due to the rocky paths and stairs in the house. The village does not have a store, café, restaurant or church! So it is very quiet, but you can reach everything quite quickly within a few kilometers by car. To be clear: there is no garden! But who needs a garden when you have a balcony, a roof terrace and a very large forest? Cycling is only for the very brave, because the 600 meters altitude is only reached by a small road with seven hairpin bends.

It is a wonderful place under the sun, where you can completely relax with a good book, good wine from the region (appellation Faugeres), good (out) food, (predatory) bird watching and nice villages, markets and castles in the area to visit. Do not forget the village festivals in July and August. In the vicinity of the village you can make lovely walks. Just in the direction you like or one of the walks in the area mapped out by the municipality, for both beginners and advanced. So bring good walking shoes! Or kayaking in the Orb, shopping in Montpellier, there is even a golf course in Lamalou les Bains, a day in Pezenas and let's not skip the beach (about 30 minutes by car). Also possible is a day in Barcelona, Carcassonne or Camarque. Choosing is almost impossible, so booking more than one week is recommended! Smoking is allowed, but preferably outside as much as possible (and certainly not in the bedrooms). The landlord lives in the house next door, so he is always available and willing to help you with anything, but only if you want! If not, you will probably not even notice they are there...
