In the immediate vicinity, besides the forest Hohes Venn, across the street, there are plenty of opportunities for admiring the beautiful Eifel. For example, there is a winter sports area seven kilometers away: Der Weisse Stein in Udenbreth. A large amount of trails for cross-country skiers, these start across the street. The bird of prey watch, in the cozy town of Hellenthal, provides daily shows. The imposing dam Oleftalsperre is 10 kilometers away, here you can relax and swim in the summer. And of course the Nurburgring is also within easy reach. Within walking distance is the center of Hollerath with the cozy restaurant Alt Lehner, where the very friendly service an exceptionally delicious meal is available.
