This cottage is part of a historic farmhouse, located on the northwestern slope of the Geul valley, belonging to the village of Hombourg. This well-kept nature house consists of a spacious hall, a living room with dining area and kitchen, a bathroom and two bedrooms. From the living room you reach the covered terrace, which allows you to experience the outdoor feeling even in bad weather. The yard is completely fenced and, where it borders the house, can be used as a sitting and playing area. This allows you to enjoy your stay in peace and quiet. The Belgian part of the Geul Valley is still very original, as if time has stood still. Meadows with hedges and willow trees, hollow roads with badger setts surrounded by forests. From the cottage there are wonderful walks or bike rides to do. The chances of coming face to face with a roe deer, wild boar or hare are very high. That this is a special geological soil is evidenced by the occurrence of the zinc violet and other zinc-loving plants. The mining past has been transformed into a fascinating nature reserve, with a visitable small museum.
