This nature house was renovated as a perfect getaway from everyday rush. Located in the forests of Zgornja Idrijca Landscape park, near Idrija, a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a place for contemplation, relaxation, creativity and family. This is the place to enjoy the luxury of doing nothing, sitting by the river, reading a book, watching wildlife, or just dreaming after an active day. Klavžar House was built in 1800 as a granary of then important Klavžar farmstead. Klavžar family was responsible for managing of 'klavže', the large water barriers on Idrijca river. Klavže, today UNESCO World Heritage (and 5 minutes walk from the house), were used to transport wood from the deep forests to the Idrija mercury mine (also UNESCO World Heritage).
Nature and surroundings

The heritage of mercury mining (the mine, historic town center, water barriers, mining facilities) is UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012.
