Welcome to the Drents Friese Wold! Within walking distance of the forest is our beautiful barn house, equipped with all basic comforts. Cozy and pleasant for 2 people. The cottage has pleasant light and views of meadows. There is a table with chairs, an armchair, a simple kitchen, a bathroom and a nice sleeping area. Everything is on one level with nice and spacious views. The cottage is detached and stands in a yard shared with the host and possible tenants of the other Nature House. The terrace in the garden is for you the holidaymaker, the garden is shared with the owner and the chickens. A fire basket and bbq are available. Wood for the basket is for sale. The surroundings of the cottage are quiet and beautiful. The cottage is within walking distance of the forest and a fens with the greatest biodiversity in the forest. From the cottage several well-known cycling routes are easily accessible. Half an hour by bike is National Park Dwingelderveld, the largest contiguous wet heathland in Western Europe. Here you can cycle and hike and with a little luck you may encounter a flock of sheep. A 30-minute drive away is the National Park Weerriben-Wieden, which is characterized by stretched reed beds and flowery hay meadows. The terraces of Diever and Dwingeloo can also serve you well. In the evening the sunset can be easily seen from the cottage over the meadows and with the silence accompanying it, it is truly enjoyable.
