Amid the Hageland vineyards, tucked under a century-old oak tree, stands the mud house. The original view with the loam structure and side walls erected in locally quarried Diestiaan ironstone, dates back to 1787. The mud nature house was thoroughly restored by the current owner and equipped with all contemporary comforts: built-in kitchen, two bathrooms, central floor heating, wood stove, 2 TVs and internet connection. Note: no groups of young people wishing to organize bachelor parties, student parties or drinking parties are accepted.

The loam nature house is located on a Hageland hill, along a quiet cul-de-sac, with beautiful panoramic views 360 degrees and offers the possibility of beautiful marked walks and bike rides. Within walking distance are extensive forests (Walenbos 500ha, troostemberghbos) and the medieval moated castle of Horst. Houwaart is a borough of Tielt-winge. This rural municipality with about 10 000 inhabitants is a stone's throw from the university town of Leuven, the Oranjestad Diest and the cities of Aarschot and Tienen.
