This very cozy nature house is located in the middle of the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. It is wonderfully light and furnished with modern furniture. You can go out actively, but also relax reading a book, listen to music or just enjoy the silence. While the wood-burning stove provides a cozy atmosphere. Downstairs in the living room you can see the birds from the house through the great glass facade and when it is quiet you can also see deer or squirrels in the garden. The badgers sometimes appear at dusk. The open kitchen was completely renovated in 2020 and furnished with all modern kitchen equipment. This also applies to the bathroom with the spacious shower, sink and toilet. On the top floor is a spacious loft with TV corner. There is also a double sofa bed. There are also 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed and 1 bedroom with a single bed. Free WiFi is available. 1 dog is welcome, more in consultation. There are 2 bicycles that you can use to explore the area.

Through the sliding door you step straight onto the (hopefully) sunny terrace surrounded by a secluded grass garden surrounded by lush shrubs and trees. When you leave the yard you are within 5 minutes in the forest and on a meadow where the Scottish Highlanders graze. Walking further you come to the vast Doldersum heath (300 meters as the crow flies), which blooms beautifully purple in August and is populated by buzzing bees. Drenthe heath sheep walk there and the bunnies happily hop around. You can see this from above from the high watchtower on the edge of the moor. The Drents-Friese Wold also has dozens of cozy cycle paths. Swimming is possible in the Aekingermeer, which is 3 km away, while the dog can be let out in the adjacent spartel pond. Those interested in history can visit the museum "the trial colony" in Frederiksoord. A large social experiment has been carried out in the area, after which the musical (and the book) "Het pauperparadijs" was made.
