On an old cobblestone road, just outside Burgum, stands this nature house. An antique forest farmhouse from the 19th century. Now equipped with contemporary comforts, but exuding the atmosphere of days gone by....Sustainability. This concept goes beyond waste separation, good insulation and LED lighting. We also want to make a difference in this area. We want to extend this to all (future) choices we make. For example, we generate all our own electricity by means of solar collectors. The building is already partly heated by means of a heat pump. A windwheel is planned as our next project. The interior of both the 'wâldhúske' and the B&B rooms are furnished with as much 'refurbished' furniture as possible. Is something broken? Then we first see if it can be repaired before replacing it. Cleaning is done with as many natural products as possible, and we don't use disposables.
