Cottages Lake Lucerne

Lucerne is located at the north end of Lake Lucerne, where the Reuss River originates. The town is one of Switzerland's most popular tourist destinations, thanks to its well-preserved medieval core and friendly environment. The old town and all of the major sights are within walking distance of the rail station, making Lucerne a small and easy-to-explore city.

The location of Lucerne as a base for some of Europe's most stunning Alpine rides, with easy connections to Mt. Rigs, Mt. Pilatus, Mt. Titlis, and Jungfraujoch, is the largest draw for tourists who enjoy alpine views. Are you looking for a vacation home in the area? Look no further, as our Lake Lucerne cottages are the ideal place to rest and recharge, with all required facilities provided.

A treat for Nature Lovers

On the shores of Switzerland's Lake Lucerne, flower-filled meadows, Michelin-starred restaurants, and vertiginous cable car excursions are just a few of the Alpine joys on offer. Lake Lucerne is the country's most scenically diverse lake, surrounded by numerous excursion mountains. It has a terrain that is reminiscent of a fjord, although it is classified by a warm lake climate.

Want to explore it all?

Riding the cog railway from the shores of Lake Lucerne to an elevation of 1,798 meters on Mt Rigi is one of the must-do activities here. This is Europe's first cog railway, and you can ride in refurbished cars that date back to the inception of the railway. The panoramas from the peak go all the way to Germany's the Black Forest, Making a picturesque circle route by taking the boat from Lucerne to Vitznau, where you take the cogwheel train to Rigi Kulm.

Then take a cogwheel train down to Arth-Goldau, where you can catch a train back to Lucerne. With calm lakeside roads and more challenging day-long trips in steeper terrain, Lucerne and its surroundings are a stroller's and hiker's paradise. The level walking path that circles Lake Rot through a nature reserve is the closest to the city. Along the way, there is a beach, a playground, and picnic areas. The key elements of a traditional Lower Saxony vacation are space, tranquility, and diversity. On our website, you can find numerous cottages in Lake Lucerne for a delightful experience in this area.

The Bireggwald, which is more steep but still close to the city, provides views of the lake and Mt. Pilatus; a recognized forest track leads from the Berghof bus stop to the Oberrüti overlook. You can continue on the trail to the lake and take the train back to Lucerne. From Lucerne, the Bürgenstock Cliff Path is a good half-day excursion. The well-groomed cliff walk borders spectacular rock ledges and reveals beautiful views of Lake Lucerne and the Alps, and is accessible by boat and the scenic Bürgenstock funicular railway. The Hammetschwand lift takes the place of the steep section, requiring relatively less climbing.

Golzernsee is another 6-kilometer hike across chalet-filled fields that is easy to moderate. The Golzernseilbahn takes you to the Golzernsee trailhead through lush grasslands. The trail's first half is a flat, easy hike dotted with honor-system cabins staffed by farmers' kids selling Alp cheese wheels and locally quarried quartz.
