Lodges in Austria
Austria is easily one of the most famous tourist destinations on the territory of Europe, and we can certainly see why. The country offers a little bit for everyone – big cities bustling with life, as well as beautiful architecture which can leave you speechless (especially its castles). However, those who enjoy nature will also get their fair share of excitement – just imagine what the Alps look like early in the morning. Austria is for sure a top contender for your next trip destination!
One of the central decisions to make with respect to your holiday is where you are going to stay. The good thing is that we can very well help you with that – we have compiled an incredible selection of comfortable, cozy lodges which you can call home during your Austrian vacation. The advantages are many – nature will never be too far away from you, as you only need to open your front door to immerse in it. Moreover, our friendly hosts are always willing to provide you with helpful tips on how you can make your stay even better.
Austrian nature
Possibly one of the best ways to experience nature in Austria is by visiting one of its national parks, our suggestion being the Kalkalpen National Park. It was founded during the year 1997, and it has never ceased to amaze its visitors ever since. The mountain aficionados are going to have a wonderful time here, as there is not one, but two mountain massifs – the Reichraminger Hintergebirge and the Sengsengebirge. So, if you think that spectacular Alpine views will be up your alley, then definitely pay a visit to this outstanding location.
And in case wildlife is also one of your hobbies, then you will be even more fascinated – apart from other species, lynx are known to live here as well. Granted, their population is not booming – the animals are fewer than 10 – but it is still a fact worthy of admiration. And if you feel adventurous, why don’t you conquer the so-called Hoher Nock, known to be the highest point of Sengsengebirge?
The Weissensee – a lake to be found on the territory of the country – is also very worthy of your attention. Its waters are next-level, and so are the panoramas awaiting for you. However, make no mistake – this is not one of those lakes which you can only explore by looking, as swimming is allowed here as well!
Activities
Are you a devoted winter sports lover? If so, then you might be familiar with the opportunities for snowboarding which Austria offers. Snowboarding in Austria can be a dream come true for many, so make the most out of your opportunity to conquer the slopes. One of our favorite locations for snowboarding is the region of Sölden – thank us later!
Of course, the mountain can help you stay fit no matter the season – alternatively, you can try some mountain biking here as well. It can sometimes be tricky and it certainly requires a lot of experience, but once you get hold of it there is nothing which can stop you from some biking in the country!
